Did you know that, according to the ancient Mayan calendar, time will reset on December 21, 2012? This is prompting books with titles like 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. But it’d also our 10th wedding anniversary!
A friend from A&M suggested an apocalypse-themed anniversary party. You know about the Wood Anniversary (5th) and the Crystal Anniversary (15th)… but did you know about the Apocalypse Anniversary? What gift do you get someone when the world’s end is imminent? (Answer: A Kohl’s giftcard and a trip to Starbucks. Because that’s always the answer.)
This reminds me of a couple of songs I’ve written: One is called When We Rise, about experiencing the Resurrection with my wife — something I look forward to with great joy. The other is called The Quetzalcoatl Waddle. It’s about the biggest dance craze ever to hit the ancient Aztec city of Quetzalcoatl.
