{"id":312,"date":"2009-05-13T18:45:05","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T00:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thekurths.com\/?p=312"},"modified":"2009-05-13T18:45:05","modified_gmt":"2009-05-14T00:45:05","slug":"artist-in-residence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thekurths.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/13\/artist-in-residence\/","title":{"rendered":"Artist in Residence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, Kaeta wanted to draw.\u00a0 I got a sheet of paper and a pen for her, and she sat down at the kitchen table.\u00a0 She started scribbling, and about 20 seconds later she said, &#8220;Dada!\u00a0 I drawed something!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What did you draw?&#8221; I asked, coming over.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I drawed a man!&#8221;\u00a0 And here he is:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thekurths.com\/images\/post20090513\/Kaeta%20drawed%20a%20man.JPG\" style=\"border:solid black 5px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(She wanted to put her hand in the picture.)<\/p>\n<p>I was amazed &#8212; that&#8217;s a pretty good drawing of a man!  At first I was <i>really<\/i> excited because it looks like he has a handlebar mustache, but then Kaeta explained to me that those are his arms.<\/p>\n<p>Then on the same piece of paper, she wanted me to draw a robot for Jonah.  So I did, but I left the legs off, and look what she did!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thekurths.com\/images\/post20090513\/Robot%20legs.JPG\" style=\"border:solid black 5px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oh!  And here&#8217;s her first attempt (as far as I know) to write her name!  She wrote this, appropriately enough, to go in a card to send to her Godmother, Kaethe.  The letters are out of order, so Karianne penciled in an interpretation:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thekurths.com\/images\/post20090513\/Kaeta_name.JPG\" style=\"border:solid black 5px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On with the show.
