You have been warned.<\/p>\n<p>On computers, &#8220;Unix time&#8221; refers to the number of seconds since midnight, January 1, 1970.  That date (1\/1\/1970) is referred to as the &#8220;epoch,&#8221; and many computers (not just unix-based ones) use this method for storing date\/time as a number.<\/p>\n<p>You can see the current time right now by going to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unixtimestamp.com\">unixtimestamp.com<\/a>.  As I write this, the time is: <b>1234569992<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, a few hours ago, the timestamp was <b>1234567890<\/b>.  This is extremely cool!
